Our Story

How We Met

Chris and Rachel started dating in March of 2013. If you didn’t know already, Rachel and Chris met on eHarmony! They were each looking for a serious relationship and decided to give the dating website a try. Needless to say, the matchmaking was a success and neither of them went on any other dates using eHarmony. They continued to date despite their different views about sports teams and eventually fell in love!

The Engagement

On Rachel’s birthday last year, they getting ready to go to the Beauchamp’s house for her birthday party. They were all dressed and ready to head out the door when Chris asked Rachel if she loved him. She said yes. He asked if she would love him forever. She said yes, and then said “Chris, we have to get going, we’re going to be late.” Chris said “just another minute.” He said, “I’ll love you forever too and, (as he got down on one knee) Rachel, will you marry me?” Shocked, Rachel said, “are you kidding me?” At that point Chris’ heart skipped a beat and he asked, “Is that a yes?” And she replied, “Yes, Yes.” Only a couple people knew that Chris was going to propose, including Ali and Kelli who were throwing Rachel’s birthday party and also decorated as an impromptu engagement party.

The Bride

Rachel was born March 6, 1987 at Mission Viejo hospital. She was also raised in Mission Viejo. She played water polo at Capistrano Valley high school. She then went Cal State San Marcos and earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Marketing. She then earned her MBA in business and marketing online from American Public University. She currently works as a sales and marketing representative for a water damage restoration company in San Juan Capistrano. Rachel loves the beach, the Green Bay Packers, champagne, and her amazing friends and family. She is so excited to be marrying the love of her life.

The Groom

Chris was born March 26 1982 at Hoag Hospital, and for the next for the 21 years lived in the same house in Irvine. Born and raised a Cubs and Bears fan, Chris went to elementary school at Deerfield and Middle school next door at Venado. He then went to High school at Woodbridge. After 3-½ of junior college at Irvine Valley College he transferred to California State University of Chico. Two years later with Bachelors in Arts in History. Chris returned to Irvine, soon moving to Huntington, then Costa Mesa. Moving several times over the next couple years between Newport Beach, Costa Mesa and Westminster. He is now Living in San Clemente with Rachel and her mom Rosie and working in Irvine. Chris is looking forward to seeing all his friends and family and of course marrying his beautiful fiance.

The couple is registered at Macy’s and Amazon. They are very excited to start their life together and this will help them build a home. They have many projects that they would like to do to improve their home. Money is also appreciated in lieu of gifts to help them get started on these projects.

Matron of Honor

Dani is the bride’s little sister and best friend! Rachel would be completely lost without the love and support from her. These two have been through so much together. Rachel can’t imagine her wedding day without Dani being a huge part of it.

Amanda Berestynski

Amanda and Rachel have been friends since the 6th grade when they started riding the bus to school together. They went on to high school where they played water polo together and even attended the same college for a few years as well. Now they work for the same company and love seeing each other every day!

Megan MacIsaac

Megan is Rachel’s cousin. Only six months apart in age, they have been close throughout their lives despite living in different cities. Megan is such a caring and thoughtful person. She will also make you laugh and teach you how to shotgun a beer.

Shannon Yarwood

Rachel met Shannon through Chris and his large group of friends. They connected immediately as Shannon has the best sense of humor and enjoys champagne just as much as Rachel does. Shannon is amazing at party planning and weekend getaway planning. She has been a huge help to Rachel throughout the wedding planning process. Rachel does not know what she would do without her “Shan time” aka chatting over a glass of wine.

Allison Beauchamp

Allison is another friend that Rachel is so grateful to have met through Chris. Allison has the biggest heart and these girls have shared many a good time together. With a baby due in April, she will be ready to get her dance on come July!

Maggie Lax

Rachel also met Maggie through Chris and they have been close ever since. She is always thinking of others and reaches out to Rachel often just to see how she is doing. Rachel loves Maggie’s spunky personality and her amazing hair styling skills!

Scott Riedl
Best Man

Chris first met Scott and became friends when he was 9 months old and Scott was born. Their parents were already good friends and it lead the two of them to be lifelong friends. Through different school and colleges, sometimes it would be almost a year or so between hanging out, but that has never lessened the friendship. Christopher couldn’t ask for a better friend and best man.

Brian Stevens

Brian is Chris’s oldest brother and also good friend. Growing up of course there were times when brother’s don’t get along but that never stopped them from being friends and loving brothers. Christopher is honored to have his brother standing with him on his wedding day.

Bradley Stevens

From being mistaken as twins at times growing up, though it doesn’t look like it now, and other than the occasional fight while sharing a bedroom, Christopher and Bradley have been close brothers and friends all growing up. Now grown up that closeness has not changed even with their recent moves to San Clemente for Chris and Nipomo for Brad and his family.

Russell Yarwood

Chris and Russell met in junior high school and quickly became friends. They went to different high schools and they didn’t spend too much time together again until after high school. They now share several mutual interest including golf, disc golf and old school video games. Chris was also a groomsman in Russell and Shannon’s wedding.

Hadley Ogle

Chris first met Hadley at church in elementary school, but they didn’t become close friends until junior high school. Chris and Hadley went to different high schools but never lost contact. Their friendship grew stronger after high school and college. Whether golfing, playing bocci ball on the beach or just hanging out, Hadley and Chris are close friends.

Garrett Bradford

Garrett and Chris met in little league on the Padres team when they were 9 years old. They were teammates on a few more teams and went to the same junior high school. They went to different high schools but became close after. Chris and Garrett were roommates several times and have traveled to Europe together. Both have been there for each other whether one needed to talk or just need to get out of the house and have a drink.
